Yes and there are many who did. Mine are born 92 2000 2005 And I know many who had kids later and some worse much later 2nd time round. Not all married early 20’s Franco. I won’t add more for whoever older says something it’s always pigeon holed or treated like they are not up to the times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have often said when people my age complain about 'kids', I just say "well, we bred them" and they look at me all confused

I even say this when subjects get pear shaped and the wife lose's the plot/patience dealing with a 19yr old daughter then a 24yr old son. We brought them up. By the many posters I have come to know here I feel come from good rounded families, we all do our best yet younger gens generally I notice blame ol flokes of todays hard times, hum, oh don't blame your own parents take it out on all the others lol....... Its those boomers, its those a bit younger than boomers, ffs, we have done our best - maybe given too much, other do give way too much. Its a viscious circle.

Hi ......... I have an interesting question and I want ............ umm. No, I am not AI, ...
As we are discussing 'kids' ..... why do kids remain kids for so long ? I have a 51 year old son, who has, at last, started acting like an adult as a result of being bitten on the bum by life too many times, after ignoring common sense advice. I also have a 25 year grandson at Uni, who acts like a 14 year old, engrossed in his phone and fantasy super-heroes. Cannot hold a conversation with him on any subject, as just doesn't know anything. WTF ? What has happened since 1999, which is beyond living memory ? |

Adult responsibilities, like leaving home, maintaining a steady job/income, to pay rent/mortgage, marriage, raising a family, force us to become adults. Kids stay home far longer, delay marriage/kids, delay buying a home, etc. Some of that is by choice, but increasingly, it's by circumstance.

its the parents fault b0son - you know those same kids who complain about boomers, their fault cost of living keeps going up, well never known it goes down, because the RB raise interest rates, world economies fluctuate, its the boomers fault, oh hang on its also the boomers kids fault as well, throw that gen in as well.
Why is it these kids of the last 10/15+yrs do OS trips instead of local schoolies ? Now there's Yr10 formals ?? ffs, Yr12 formals/schoolies, OS trips, or the option pack up to the Goldy. Mummy Daddy if I don't go I'll b itch and scream everyone goes ! its all over insta snapchat. haha too funny, lifes a b itch, quoting Malcolm, Life Wasn't Meant To Be Easy.

I think society in general has become that way, not just younger age groups. We've learnt to externalise everything. Its always someone else's fault, or we we have some mental illness that makes us that way. Nobody puts their hand up anymore and admits wrongdoing and accepts accountability. BUT, why should we be surprised? It's engrained in every aspect of society. From being kids, where parents abuse critical teachers for failing little johnny or the courts that wont punish youth crime, right the way up to our work where an employer has to jump through hoops to get rid of a problem employee. It's the era of passing the buck.
