Some thoughts from the perspective of a MB owner...
Had a Focus Trend rental this week. It made a change from the Corolla which is what you usually get in NZ. First surprise is a dial instead of a stick. Weird, no idea why they'd do that. Then I found the indicators were on the RH stalk! The non-linear speedo is plain weird. The first third is 0-60, then 12 o'clock is 120. Useful in a 30 km/h limit, but I kept finding myself doing over 120 in 100 limits. Which brings me to the 1.5 Ecoboost, which was good fun. ![]() Ride and handling were both good but no feel from the electric power steering. And lane assist kicked in a couple of times on corners. Grr. Yet again it was nice to get back in the MB. It's now over 10 years old and as a business vehicle really should be replaced. But what am I going to buy that will at least as enjoyable to drive? That thing about the speedo sounds really annoying.

It was. I assume that a digital speedo can be displayed, which tells you exactly what your speed is.
