Hi there,
I have just removed the leaf springs from my XM wagon and noticed that it was quite a task to get the front shackle bolts out. They come in from the direction of the sills (unlike a Mustang which come in from the centre of the car) making it difficult to get the bolt past the sill. While I was able to twist the spring enough to get the bolt out I am not as confident that I will be able to get them back togeter with Nolathane bushes fitted to new springs. Does anyone know any tricks here. Thanks, Todd |

lots of soapy water on the bushes. I used rubber bushes in mine and if you start the bolt at an angle you can usually lever it up past the sill and your set.
& I agree its a stupid design

Thanks redxm, I will give it a go.
Interesting how similar these fishshop Falcons are to Mustangs, but the Mustang puts the bolt in the logical way! Cheers |
