New Asl Video Conversion Box Now Released – New Features

ASL has just released their latest VIDEO CONVERSION BOX suitable for BA-BF/TERRITORY and FG (colour screen required)

New features:

- USB charging socket – Great if you plan to use your iPod or iPhone as your video player
- In built bypass (if you have Factory Reverse camera or Navigation you no longer need to purchase a bypass cable at a cost of $190)
- BA/FG switchable (Car upgradable – with purchase of vehicle specific harness)
- Override Mode – The second input is always triggered by 12V and overrides both input 1 and Bypass input.(Great for the addition of a reverse camera)
- Improved video filtering for cleaner and crisper pictures

We have also be released a variation of this base kit complete with a iPhone-iPod video/audio charging harness complete with V-CHIP. No need to update your video/audio cable with every new iPhone/iPod software update.

Hi Fadi,

I have your original video conversion with ASL DVD player. I have connected a Ipod Av cable for my iphone with USB charger in centre console. I do have problems with whine and noise etc, does this new setup work with original DVD player, what other benefits over original video box

I am interested in getting a reverse camera fitted to my FG XR6 ute, I have a new XR50th with upgraded colour screen and Ipod adapter standard. What is the price to have a unit fitted at your premises, hopefully next Monday 25th October (my next RDO). Would this include the above "new" conversion box as standard?

Are the cameras different for the BA to FG?
How much for a converter and camera for BA and is there a discount if I get two?
Do you have any suppliers in NZ?
Is it possible to convert a DZ standard screen control box (radio part) to colour screen or do you need a new radio box?

Thanks guys, I purchased mine over the phone last Thursday avo and it arrived Friday in Canberra the next day before lunch, i installed it on Sunday and it works great.

I have a reasonably old (approx 5 years) conversion box sourced from another manufacturer and the problem I have with it is with regards to my reverse camera. The image is a little dull.
Does your conversion box have the option to adjust brightness? If so I am keen to replace mine.

Excellent. Lastly - does your kit convert PAL to NTSC? - Most of my video input is NTSC, but on the odd occasion a PAL DVD is used.
My DVD player does not convert the output, it only plays what is on the disc.
